First you should look at the basic and common therapies in overcoming anxiety. The basic therapies for overcoming anxiety will be recommended by your doctor. However in addition to this, there are some simple things that that can do to help in overcoming anxiety.

Get enough sleep at night.

Getting sufficient sleep is very important in overcoming anxiety. This is because if you deprive yourself of sleep, you are prone to anxiety disorders. You’ll think less clearly and you’ll feel lethargic and won’t be able to perform at work well. So it is important to rest and recharge your body for the next day with a good night’s sleep.

Eat healthy and exercise.

Following a healthy diet helps in overcoming anxiety as it helps you avoid feeling too stressed and anxious. This is why doctors advise the adding more fruits and vegetables to your daily diet. To complement a healthy diet, you should start exercising. A regular exercise regimen helps relieve stress almost immediately and of course you’ll be fitter and stronger. Weight lifting, aerobics and yoga are great for helping one get over bouts with anxiety.

Two things can happen for you if you do:

One, you may actually find something out that you were already in search of, or two, you may find out something that you did not know existed. Whichever it is, it’s a beautiful and fulfilling process to get in touch with your life as you know it, and as you desire it. Your life is speaking to you. The real question is: are you listening?

Today, I would like to ask you to embrace yourself in a way that gets you in touch with your life. Here are a few ways in which you can do so:

The most common types of stress that affects us today is office related stresses. Millions of people deal with tight deadlines, office politics, and dreary working environments every day, yet very few know how to use techniques to manage work stress so they can be happier while on the job.

One of the most effective techniques to manage office stress is to avoid office politics whenever possible. Politics tend to be a drain on your personal productivity and outlook.

Of course, there are times when office politics will be inevitable – no office environment is immune to the influence of politics – but you can avoid a great deal of this by resolving not to participate in conversations that involve complaining about a coworker or speculating about a fellow employee’s personal life, ethics, or motivations. You’d be surprised at how easily you can avoid office stress by carefully removing yourself from these conversations with a simple, “I really don’t know enough about that person to comment.”

Avoid unnecessary conflict. Of course, it is not possible to avoid every disagreement, but you can use this technique to help keep situations from becoming worse and stressing you out even further.

Before you respond to a difficult person or situation, take a few seconds to think about how you can quickly and effectively diffuse the situation. Often, the best thing to say is that you understand how they’re feeling and then ask them: “How can we make things right?” Doing this throws the responsibility back into their court and transitions the conversation towards solution seeking.

Decide what you can handle before you start your workday. Many of us dive right into our tasks as soon as we arrive at work, without taking the time to decide how much we can handle or what we absolutely have to accomplish that day. The few minutes you spend each morning planning your day can save you hours of wasted time, as well as saving you a great deal of stress. You don’t go to a foreign country without a map and a plan. The same goes for your workday. Plan things out so you won’t waste time figuring out what to do next.

1. Write it down.

Writing down your organizing goal makes it more real to you. We tend to stick to our written commitments better than our verbal commitments. Saying you are going to do something is one thing. It creates more resonance with you and a better likelihood that you will stick to your goal if you write it down. Even better, write it down every day from now until you have actually accomplished it.

2. Make it a goal that will make you feel better about yourself.

Think for a moment about the number one thing in your life right now that if you got it organized, would make you feel 10 times better about your life. You know what it is, that one thing that would change how you feel if you got it organized today. Maybe it is an area of your home or of your office. Maybe it is getting your schedule organized or getting your morning routine to go more smoothly.

The reason why it needs to be something that will make you feel better about yourself is because you will be a whole lot more likely to take action on that goal if it is something that will make you feel better about you. It is one thing to be happy that your living room is organized. It is a whole other ballgame to feel better about who you are as a person because you finally got your schedule organized and you are no longer showing up late everywhere.

It makes sense to be prepared before taking a big step like getting married, buying into a franchise business, or hiking the Appalachian Trail. But there can be a fine line between preparation and procrastination.

The truth is, all ideal circumstances will probably never line up at the same time. We will never find ourselves in that perfect situation where all of our ducks are in a perfect row, all traffic lights are on green, and all the stars in heaven are aligned in our favor.

Life just doesn’t work like that. It never has, and our thinking is seriously flawed when we expect circumstances and the world around us to conform to our ideal vision before we allow ourselves to enjoy the things that truly inspire us.

I have found that when I am enthusiastic about something it is much easier to accomplish it than when I have a task that I do not like. I believe that enthusiasm is a force coming from deep inside you that lifts you up and takes you along. Enthusiasm is more than just jumping up and down or shouting your lungs out. It is bringing joy into your task.

It is claimed that very little of value is completed if enthusiasm is missing. Most of the greatest inventions, masterpieces and accomplishments of all times were possible because the creator was enthusiastic about his or her task. Some even claim that enthusiasm for a task makes up for a lack of skill. I think that we have all seen sports teams fired up by enthusiasm beat teams that, on paper, were more talented.

When people talk about improving self-esteem, they usually mean self-confidence. While the two are related, they are not exactly the same. Self-esteem is all about self-worth and self-value. It’s how we see ourselves in relation to other people and our environment. It has nothing to do with vanity or conceit.

The lack of self-esteem is a major problem and has a leveling quality. Rich and poor alike are afflicted by it and people decide between happiness and unhappiness because of it. If self-esteem is an area in your life where you need improvement, here are some tips you can use to build your self-value and improve the way you see yourself:

1. Know what you want. You can’t assess where you are in your journey if you have no idea what you want to have in life. You also will not be able to judge whether you’ve been doing a good job or just so-so.

Set goals that are clear and doable. Make sure that these are things you want to do and attain, and not things your parents, family, friends and colleagues insist you ’should’ have. Is it just the latest trends that dictate your aspirations? If so, you will never catch up and be satisfied. You can only claim your goals as your own if you recognize them as things you truly, genuinely want in your life.

Believe it or not, some of the most successful people you see in the media today used to have a low self esteem. How did they overcome this and become the successful people that they are today?

You can win the battle over low self esteem with these 4 simple steps…

1. Affirmations.

Affirmations are simply positive things that you say out loud to yourself every day. This can be very difficult at times because you may not actually believe what you are saying. SO why would you say something to yourself that you don’t believe?

Increased self esteem has to start with you. So, if you are shy and intimidated by people, start to say something like the following: I am NOT shy and I am NOT intimidated by people. I am VERY confident when I get around people.

Repeat this to yourself out loud at least 10 times before you leave your room. When you say this, don’t just mumble it either, say it as many times as necessary until you say it with passion and conviction.

“Survive” or “Thrive”…which concept appeals to you? If you want to merely survive life and a mediocre existence is acceptable, don’t bother reading any further. But if you prefer to thrive and experience the best life has to offer, read on! The following guide will help you achieve whatever goals your imaginative mind can create!

1) ASK AND WRITE IT DOWN – If you don’t ask, how do you expect to receive? Have you ever said to someone you love “what’s wrong?”, and they reply “nothing”, but it’s obvious something’s on their mind? How frustrating is that? Maybe our creator feels the same way about us? Putting our goal into words can help us figure out if it is truly something we want and then process all the feelings that come up. If you are struggling to ask, you need to examine the reasons. Could you feel unworthy or unable to succeed, or do you fear failure or rejection? The best way to ask is to write it down. The most successful people in the world practice this philosophy. Writing it down will help you identify all the positive and negative thoughts attached to the goal so you can begin to embellish the positive thoughts and purge the negative thoughts.
